When I first started CrimeOwl, I had no idea if the story would resonate or land.

I am deeply humbled to have recently been invited on Crossing The Line podcast with M. William Phelps.

M. William Phelps is one of the most respected and relentless voices in modern true-crime investigation. A New York Times bestselling author, investigative journalist, and on-air expert, Phelps has spent decades embedded in the darkest corners of criminal history, uncovering the stories behind serial killers, unsolved murders, and long-forgotten cold cases.

His work doesn’t just recount crime. It reconstructs it. Through bestselling books, national television appearances, and top-ranked podcasts, Phelps brings buried cases back into the light, giving victims a voice, exposing hidden patterns, and pushing unanswered questions back into public view.

When a case refuses to stay buried, M. William Phelps is often the one digging it back up.

The podcast essentially tells my origin story, what happened to my mom (Shaida Ghaemi), and why I started CrimeOwl.

It's a deeply personal podcast. I did not prepare for it. Phelps asked me and I reconstructed the timeline as best as I could. It's almost surreal listening in on it.

In the past, I would become emotionally charged about the situation. Recently, I am able to talk about it with out fear or anger.
