Leslie Charles Dawson escaped from the South Fork Forest Camp in Tillamook, Oregon on October 7, 1986, while serving time for rape and sodomy involving juveniles. Despite a federal arrest warrant issued in 1999 for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution, Dawson remains at large and may have altered his appearance through plastic surgery and hair dye. His military background, training, and known ties to multiple states and the Philippines suggest he could be anywhere and warrant continued vigilance from law enforcement and the public.
