Last known contact: 2020-05-22 in Cape Lookout National Seashore, Carteret, NC. Circumstances: On 25 May 20, Army CID was notified that SPC Enrique Roman-Martinez, a 21-year-old single white male assigned to HHC, was reported missing by his fellow Soldier friends.
Preliminary investigation by the U.S. Park Police located at the Cape Lookout National Seashore, NC, revealed on 22 May 20, SPC Roman-Martinez and six of his fellow Soldiers/unit members went on a camping trip to the island of Cape Lookout, NC, accessible only by a ferryboat.
On the morning of 23 May 20, the Soldiers found that SPC Roman-Martinez was no longer at the campsite, and that he left behind his cell phone and wallet. They spent the day searching the island for him with no success.
