Kathy Joan Arredondo, a 37-year-old woman, disappeared from her Houston home on February 12, 2012, after an argument with her boyfriend in which he disabled her vehicle. She left the house with only her keys, cell phone, and cigarettes—abandoning her identification, wallet, and all other possessions, and critically, leaving her 18-year-old daughter behind with the boyfriend. The circumstances suggest possible foul play, as Kathy was known to maintain close family contact and would not have abandoned her daughter voluntarily.
