On February 6, 2025, Hameed was charged with First Degree Murder (Two Counts); Third Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose (Two Counts); and Fourth Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon in the State of New Jersey, Superior Court of New Jersey Law Division, Burlington County, New Jersey, and a state warrant was issued for his arrest. On May 13, 2026, a federal arrest warrant was issued for Hameed in the United States District Court, District of New Jersey, Camden, New Jersey, after he was charged with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution. Remarks: Hameed is known to be living in India.
