Said Pourkarim Arabi is wanted for his alleged involvement in a coordinated campaign of computer intrusions targeting American aerospace and satellite companies, conducted in coordination with Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). The conspiracy involved social engineering attacks to steal identities and critical information including sensitive commercial data, intellectual property, and personal information from U.S. citizens and companies. A federal grand jury indicted Arabi on September 15, 2020, in the Eastern District of Virginia, and he remains at large; his capture would help disrupt ongoing cyber threats to American critical infrastructure and technology sectors.
